We hear on the news and in the major media practically every day about global warming. Well I can't say that I believe in it one way or the other. However GE feels they have found something that they they can put themselves behind. For profit of course.
As you know GE is a major conglomerate corporation owning multiple companies and also NBC. Which is why a few weeks ago they had the "Green Week" on NBC.
GE produces components for all forms of energy products from wind turbines, to solar cells. However a little known fact is that they control approximately 60% of the production components that goes into building nuclear power plants.

Things in Turkey have been growing quite a bit over the last few weeks. Raids into Iraq by the Turkish Military are stepped up seemingly every day. I've had a few questions from my friend in Turkey, as well as a few posts on the site about why would congress pass a resolution to define the killings of Armenians as genocide. Well to be honest I had not heard about it until a few weeks ago, and this happened almost 100 years ago. I still don't know what happened back then between the Turks and Armenians ...

For some time now Turkey has had increasing issues with a group called the PKK. This is a Kurdish group that is seeking an independent state for Kurds. However the territory that they are fighting over currently belongs to three nations Iraq, Iran, and Turkey. They have also been responsible for various terrorist attacks in Turkey and over the past few years they have continued to increase.
Some months ago Turkey launched a small raid which was mostly kept quite by the mainstream media outlets. What has increased the ire of the Turkish people as well as the government is that over the past few days that there have been a number of attacks by the PKK and approximately 15 to 17 soldiers have been killed. Now it looks set to break out into further conflict that could cause quite a bit of heartburn for the US Forces inside Iraq that are attempting to stabilize it.
The Kurdish region of Iraq is one of the more stable ...
